3.00–4.30pm ringing at Doncaster St George’s Minster (8 bells , 30cwt)
4.30–5.00pm Service in Minster
5.00 A.G.M. followed by pie and pea supper
7.15–8.30pm Arksey
25 February 2012
9:26 am Catch train for Leeds (journey time 48 mins) or own arrangements
10.14 am Arrive at Leeds train station
Walk to Vicar Lane (opposite Leeds Market ) catch no 2 or 3 bus to Chapel
Allerton (Harrogate Rd, Short Lane stop) at 10.28am (frequent service)
journey time 15mins, walk to church 2 minutes.
11.00-12.00 hrs St Matthew, Chapel Allerton (6 bells, 7cwt.)
At 11.30am half the ringers (those who prefer ringing on heavy 8 bells) leave
and walk to Stainbeck Lane (5 mins) catch no 91 bus at 11.47 hrs to
Headingley (Shaw Lane stop) and walk to St Chad's, Far Headlingley (10 mins)
rest of ringers catch no 91 bus at 12.17 hrs to Headingley (Shaw Lane).
12.15- 13.15 hrs St Chad’s, Far Headingley, (8 bells, 18 cwt.)
Lunch Break in Headlingley, there are numerous places to eat, recommended
close to St Chad’s are Woodies Pub (Green King chain – inexpensive food),
Giorgio’s Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria;(2 courses £8.95), Bryans Famous Fish
& Chip Restaurant, (excellent, price range around £9).
15.00-15.50 St Michael & All Angels, Headingley (8 bells, 20cwt).
About half the ringers (those who prefer light bells) leave around 15.35 and
walk down St Michaels Lane to Cardigan Rd, to catch the no 19 bus to Burley
(Burley Rd) and walk to Burley Church; remaining ringers follow at 15.50
hrs.
16.10-17.00 St Mathias, Burley (8 bells, 7cwt).
Walk to back to Burley Rd and catch bus no19 or any other bus going to city
centre (frequent service). Free time in city centre.
18.00 hrs Make your way to Leeds train station.
18.20 hrs catch the train to Doncaster arrives 19.07 hrs or own arrangements.

Tour to raise money for the Wadworth bells restoration project, organised by Mike King.

Wentworth (6) 11.15-12pm.
Wombwell lunch stop Taylors chime.
Monk Bretton (6 bells newly rehung) 1.45-2.15pm.
Darfield (8) 2.00-3.00pm.
Sponsored walk: ring at Wath, walk Wombwell, lunch, walk Darfield, ring and walk back to Wath.
